Engineers and Marketing Professionals

There used to be a theory that any job seeker needs only one resume. But with the job market so tight, all of us are expanding our searches to include any and all transferable skills. In speaking with other job seekers, we agree that several resumes are necessary. Be sure to name them so that you can find them in your directory and so employers receiving the document know what it is: JSmith_resume_accountant or JSmith_resume_CFO, etc.

www.engineerjobs.com is a free website, and regardless of your discipline there's a connection for you. Here you can post your resume, get a list of engineering recruiters, and learn who's hiring. You can search in all 50 states, and I ran several job searches and was pleased with the results.

If you are a marketing professional, take a look at www.marketingjobs.com. Again you can post your resume for free. A quick job search is available for marketing, sales or both, and there's an advanced job search and a featured-jobs area. The site provides a list of job titles that might be helpful in narrowing down your search. I felt there were good results without all the franchise jobs that tend to clog up other sites.
